Is there an option to wrap long labels, for example for information flows where I am showing the interface / data objects label and where there is a number of data objects?

And just like that, I found the answer myself:

  1. Select View / Format from the menu
  2. Select the interface line
  3. In the formatting panel select Text and tick the “Formatted Text” option
  4. Select the text label for the interface line and press [F2]
  5. Use [Shift, Enter] to insert line breaks.

And you can do a lot more than that when formatting text: https://www.drawio.com/doc/faq/text-styles 😎

Thanks Helder.  Unfortunately that information from draw.io relates to text shapes; not the label that displays the data objects relating to an interface.   And sadly the answer that I figured out for myself doesn’t work properly either; the moment I safe the diagram, it looses that formatting that I have done.

Hi @Ron Beernink , just want to ask if this is also saved. When I do this in a Data Flow, save then all the Data Objects are back in one line.

So actually, wie can’t use this function as our diagrams looks like as yours in the first picture.

When I do this in a Data Flow, save then all the Data Objects are back in one line.

That is because the Auto update view colors and labels is active (it is by default). Click on Updates button to see the setting.

Thank you, this works!

Maybe not perfect, as the automatic update isn’t working anymore for the other parts of the diagram. But for the time beeing, thats okay.

Fantastic Helder.  That workaround does the trick nicely!   Btw, I’ve done a feature request to allow text labels to be resized (as a better option that manually parsing the label text).
