Hi @ani.c ,
Welcome to the LeanIX community
. Great to have you here, and thanks for sharing your context!
Since you're aiming to communicate big-picture insights, I'd definitely recommend checking the documentation on how to implement Cost Management in LeanIX. It includes details on how to capture and visualize operational and investment data effectively.
You’ll also find a variety of report types that can help communicate these aspects clearly to executives — for example:
- Project Cost Report for a financial deep dive on initiatives
- Business Capability Cost Report to show cost allocation by capability
- And if you're using SAP LeanIX ARP (Architecture and Road Map Planning) , you can create Projections that allow you to model how your costs evolve over time and get impacted by specific initiatives or highlight potential savings.
You can also check the Dashboards doc for best practices. The idea is to create dashboards that combine reports and diagrams aligned with your use case or stakeholder focus.
One example setup could look like this:
- Start with Objectives Landscape to provide a strategic overview
- Add an Initiatives Landscape clustered by Objectives, to show which initiatives support which strategic goals
- Include cost-related reports such as Project Cost and Business Capability Cost
- And if available, use Projection Reports to illustrate ROI or future cost impacts
This way, your dashboard walks stakeholders from strategy to execution to financial insight — all in one view.
Also feel free to reach out to your CSM if you need help designing your first dashboard!
