Hello SAP Community,I have a question regarding how to maintain location information for IT Components.Some of our IT Components are used or hosted in multiple locations, for example data centers, cloud environments, or office locations. It would be very useful to visualize these locations on a map and also use them in reports. As you know, there is a limitation on the Location field, which can be used for only one location.I am considering a few possible options, but I am not sure which one is the best practice:Use the Organization field This field is currently hidden for IT Components, and my understanding is that its purpose is to show which organization uses the applications. I am not sure if it is appropriate to use this field for location information, as it may mix location data with application usage. Add a free-text field under Location I could create a text field for locations, but I am concerned that this would be difficult to use consistently in reports and dashboards. Use P

How can Add field UserID in automation when fact sheet has been created?I’m trying to send an email after Application (fact sheet) has been created but, I only can send Fact Sheet ID and Fact Shee name.If someone could help me please.

In case it has ended, I need to change the risk status value to unacceptable, with a calculable field. The issue is that when I try to do that, it shows me this error. Is anyone tinkering with the MCP server? It seems to be missing fairly basic functionality like retrieving all the fact sheets of a given type. It has an action to get all applications, or to search for fact sheets of a given type, but the search doesn’t support a wildcard, so there appears to be no way to get a list of fact sheets of a given type. Has anyone run into this?Thanks -Dan

Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well.I'd like to ask for your guidance on two specific use cases in LeanIX:Cost Visualization: Is it possible to generate pie charts or bar graphs that show the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of applications? We only find sums of quantity, but not much configuration. And we'd like to group by specific tags for example. Is it possible? We've already have the TCO Extention  Version Management: What's the best practice for seeing evolutionary improvements in an application while maintaining its history? My goal is to track the evolution without having to create multiple new Fact Sheets for each version, thus avoiding unnecessary duplicates in the inventory.Thank you very much in advance for your recommendations!

Hello Everyone, I am quite new on LeanIX and I have some basic questions particularly Technology Architecture. I would like to create a Tehcnology Application/Solutions Buildng Blocks, ABB-SBB catalogue on LeanIX, but there is no ready excel file for that. Where should I start?In addition, I need to create Roadmap report for each and every SBB.Could lifecycle information be enough for IT components, but what about for physical data centres or cloud subscriptions? Should I also create them as IT components with their contract lifetimes?

(I hope the following thoughts narrow down a bit what I mean.)I understood, that you should start with Business Capabilities - which kind of makes sense. In the second step, you connect the application landscape to these business capabilities. Now to the…. First question: I read, that todays approach in EA is more agile (project by project). Means for me, you shouldn`t create that monster map, that shows “all” the dependencies and connections between business and IT. Is that correct?So have you generated your first content by joining a first project (e.g. new application XY) and then iteratively grew your EA by continuing that “process” (project by project by project)? I can retrieve some fields, as in the example, but when I try to retrieve custom fields, the code returns errors.Expression.Error: The 'data' field of the record was not found.Details:errors=[List]Has anyone else experienced this? How can I fix it?

We track initiatives in LeanIX and currently configure quality seals to expire after three months of inactivity, aligning with our quarterly project reviews. This approach works well for active projects, but we’ve noticed that completed initiatives also lose their quality seals over time. We want to preserve the history of these projects without requiring users to manually maintain seals on inactive or completed initiatives.I’m interested in hearing how other companies handle this situation. Are there best practices for maintaining historical quality seals on completed projects while minimizing unnecessary user intervention?

We want to keep data in a reference system and in LeanIX in synch.  The administrators of the reference system are proficient in powershell, and the easiest path is a powershell script that uses the LeanIX APIs. Does anyone have a powershell script that uses the LeanIX APIs that we could use as a reference model?

Hi All, We have a couple of challenges, one of them being that an interface can be both a provider as wel as a consumer at the same time. this is how that works:An application provides a dataset through an interface, this is consumed by another application. That data set is edited in the second application and provided back to application one who then consumes it. At certain points in time that interface also communicates the dataset directly to another interface.Any advice on how to model that would be greatly appreciated. My preferred solution would be to change the multiplicity from Manty to one to Many to Many relationships on provider as well as Consumer interfaces by the way.
