Hi Community,Does anyone know how to access the Demo Workspace? I used it for the practitioner course, but it’s no longer available via the link: https://academy.leanix.net/welcome-to-leanix-eam-practitioner-level-1/1797710I’d like access to a demo workspace.

Hi everyone, I’m currently using the LeanIX REST API to retrieve Application fact sheets, and in our setup the applications are synced from ServiceNow to LeanIX, so each Application should have a corresponding ServiceNow record with a sys_id; however, when calling /services/pathfinder/v1/factSheets?type=Application, the response only contains LeanIX-specific attributes like id, name, and fields, but no ServiceNow sys_id, so I’m wondering whether it can be accessed through the REST API and what the recommended approach is to retrieve or expose this value if it is not returned by default.

Dear LeanIX Community,I really love this forum and it has been a very useful source of information for me. There is one topic for which I struggle to find a proper solution: how to automate the replication of org structures from SAP (!) Successfactors to SAP (!) LeanIX. My goal is to have the same structure in LeanIX Organization Fact Sheets as it is in Successfactors. It can be done using Excel imports but it involves manual steps to modify the file. From my point of view, this could be a standard interface provided by SAP. As long as this does not exist, I would like to implement some other method to get the job done. Has anyone implemented such an interface? maybe using BTP or some other integration layer? Is this at all of interest to you? Maybe I don’t see the obvious solution to this issue… Thank you for any feedback or input. I am very happy to get in touch and discuss ideas and options… BR Moritz

Our design philosophy is to model Business App, System, Component as follows:In LeanIX, we have imported our CMDB into the metamodel as follows:Business Apps to the Application/Business App fact sheet subtype System/Module to the Application/Microservice fact sheet subtype Component to the IT Component/Service fact sheet subtypeWhen we model designs by hand today, we map integrations at the System/Module level like this, essentially rolling up the microservice to it’s parent business app: How do I create this same type of data flow diagram in LeanIX Diagrams?  There’s no option out-of-the-box to make one app the child of another.Do I need to create a manual parent/child relationship on the Application fact sheet?  Then I should be able to “roll-up” to the parent business app?

Dear CommunityWhen requesting SAP for a copy from your production workspace to the sandbox workspace, which (technical/integration) components should be excluded in the copy request to avoid problems with productive interfaces (e.g. Jira and other supplying thirdparty systems). In other words, which Leanix integration components related to the interfaces of the productive workspace should be excluded from the copy requestKind Regards,Maarten

Hello LeanIX Community, I’m working on a setup where I need to use parent/child relationships inside Application Fact Sheets to run some calculations and to control the visibility of other fields based on whether a parent exists.I think I’ve hit a fundamental limitation in LeanIX and I’m looking for advice or best practices to handle it.Bit of context I have Calculated Fields that depend on whether a Fact Sheet has a parent. I also need to show or hide certain fields based on this logic. So basically the UI depends on the calculated value, and the calculated value depends on the presence of a relation.IssueLeanIX does not evaluate calculated fields:when a Fact Sheet is first created, when the page is opened, or immediately after adding/removing a relation.They only update after a browser refresh. This creates two problems:At creation time, calculated fields are always Blank, even if the logic should return “No parent”. After adding a parent relation, calculated fields do not update rig

Hello Team,We are mapping Business capabilities in Lean IX and we are doing our best to keep it to Standard.As part of that i am not able to find appropriate Business capability for Inter and Intra company or for an Internal Procurement.Also i am not fully getting how to define Application, System and System Component. We have SAP S/4 Hana and we use all the Modules. Any leads would be highly appriciated

I need assistance with creating/updating users in SAP LeanIX. As the application administrator, I can only perform this individually. Does anyone have a step-by-step guide on how to do this?#LeanIX ​@DenisSouzaSAP 

Greetings,We are expanding LeanIX tool usage internally and will be onboarding new members (solution, technical architects, etc.)As part of the pre-requisites, we will ask each one to complete let’s say… at least Level 1 certifications to understand the basics of the tool, metamodel, factsheets, etc.Is there a way for us to track, how many have successfully completed the certifications, levels, etc.? Thanks,Satish.

As far I could find in LeanIX documentation, LeanIX supports searches by fact sheet name, display name, description, tags, and sometimes alias.It seems that enabling other textual fields to be designated as searchable could provide significant value. Is this being considered as a future capability?In the meantime, are there any workarounds that could offer similar functionality?

Dear Community,I’m looking for a quick help. I’m unable to reset my password for the demo workspace provided. I’ve tried resetting the password but I’m not getting any email for password reset.Kindly note that I’m able to login into the actual tool and able to launch Academy from there.I’m also unable to update my email id in the academy profile. I am giving the same password which I logged in into the tool, but that isn’t working.

I would like to have my organization’s landscape represented in LeanIX. The hierarchy exceeds level 6, which is the maximum I can configure in the Meta Model. Is there a way to extend the hierarchy levels? Thank you in advance.

Scenario:An organisation has four business divisions.Business capability maturity differs across business divisions (I.e. Data Management is “Ad Hoc” in Division 1, “Defined” in Divisions 2 & 3, and “Managed” in Division 4. Question:Where in the factsheet for Data Management should those maturity scores be captured? Is it under Organisation and the Business Unit Maturity field? 

Hi LeanIX Community,I'm trying to implement a cost allocation model using custom fields and calculations, but I’ve run into an issue. Scenario:I’ve created a custom field (Application Cost) on the Application Fact Sheet (type: Double, displayed as Cost), and I also have a field (Number of Users) on the Application–Organization relation. The idea is to calculate the proportional cost per organization, based on how many users are using the application within each connected organization. Example:Application cost: €50,000/yearOrg A: 700 usersOrg B: 5 usersOrg C: 300 users→ Total = 1005 users I want to calculate a new value (e.g. Chargeback) on the Application–Organization relation as:(application cost / total number of users) × users per orgIssue:I created a new Double field on the Application–Organization relation to store the Chargeback value, but when I try to create a Calculation in the Admin interface, this field doesn’t appear as a selectable target — even though it is visible, activ

Would someone please refresh my memory on how to access my Demo Workspace for the sake of taking the Practitioner courses?

Calculations allow you to populate fact sheet fields based on values from other fields.
