Organization factsheet - issue with subtypes

Hi All

We have the following subtypes in Organization factsheet:

  • division
  • business unit (child of division)
  • legal entity
  • region
  • country (child of region)
  • location (child of country)

So basically 3 main categories (division, legal entity and geography).

I am facing 2 issues, anyone have experience or proposal for that? I don’t want to create another factsheet type just because I’m missing a subtype filter...is there a solution I don’t see?

  1. Creating dashboards - I can’t select a subtype in a report builder, so I can’t get a nr of apps per division since I get a flatlist of everything.
  2. Creating surveys - I can’t send out a survey for App Managers to connect their apps to a country, because they have again a flatlist of everything mixed - very confusing for enduser to see a division, legal entity and country mixed and sorted by alphabet

    1. Which panel are you using to filter on data? While creating a Factsheet chart you are able to use subtypes. You have to click on the filter, and Organization and a new window will pop up and enable you to select the data.
    2. If your question is about using the report panel and you want to just have a report based on specific org groups like in the above screenshot. This is done at the report level. The dashboard reports are not interactive like they are on there own.
  2. Creating surveys - I can’t send out a survey for App Managers to connect their apps to a country, because they have again a flatlist of everything mixed - very confusing for enduser to see a division, legal entity and country mixed and sorted by alphabet
    1. I am not quite clear on the ask here. Within surveys you can filter down to specific org units and only applications will show up if you elect to scope for relations.

Thanks, Justin!

  1. this will not work as I look at Application fact sheet and just want to group them by their relation to organization - which means in the filters I have application fact sheet filters, not organization. Example:
  • application X is connected to BU=A and to 40 different countries. I only want to see all applications grouped by BA (we only have 4 of them) on my dashboard report but instead I get an infinite list of countries mixed with BUs.
  1. We have hundreds of apps and I want to send out a survey to all application mangers to map their applications to country. Since I cant select a subtype in a survey, they will get a flat list of everything (countries mixed with BUs mixed with legal entities mixed with regions etc)
