Hello LeanIX community,

My question relates to syncing business processes from Signavio as Business Context fact sheets (L1 to L3) and linking them to L1 - L3 Business Capabilities (where LeanIX is the source of those). Assuming that we have the right Signavio dictionary setup (with Business Capabilities L1 - L3 having their own dictionary category, where L1 is a parent of L2 and L2 is a parent of L3). What should the integration config look like to sync the capabilities to Signavio so that in Signavio, the user can then link the right business capability level to the business process attribute and send that relationship back to LeanIX? Do we need a separate sync setting/ line item for Business Capability Fact Sheet for each level (i.e. L1 from LeanIX to L1 in Signavio etc.) or do we use just one and map the individual L1, L2 and L3 attribute to create those links?

Question:

Why would you link business processes to capabilities in Signavio? Aren't we supposed to use dictionaries to create links to factsheets?

It is our client’s requirement (the discussion/ recommendation re. best practice already took place). My understanding is that since they want that relationship in Signavio as well as LeanIX, the direction of that relationship sync is Signavio->LeanIX (i.e. the user must add the capability to the relevant process model as an attribute. If there is a way to sync that relationship from LeanIX, so that the process model has that attribute populated, any tips would be welcome. If there isn’t, then it’s back to the original question 🙂.

Hi Vlad,

If the different Business Capability levels are mapped to separate dictionary folders, then you will need a distinct mapping configuration for each folder. Additionally, filters should be used to ensure that the respective Business Capabilities are sent to the correct folder.
