Hi all.

We recently onboarded with LeanIX. Soon enough we realize standard automation features can not support automation between two factsheet types. We have below requirement:

  • custom field on application called Data Security. value includes SC-1 = Internal; SC-2 = Restricted; SC-3 = Highly restricted.
  • custom field in Data Object called Information classification. Value includes : Public, Restricted, Internal, Highly restricted
  • multiple data objects are assigned to Application.
  • Application's data security value will be automated updated based on Information classifications of Data objects. Data security value will be updated based on most restricted information-classification level of data objects. For example, if employee data object is part of application and it is highly restricted, Data Security of application will be filled as Highly restricted.

Has anyone encountered similar requirements in LeanIX?  Your experiences sharing is highly valuable and appreciated for us.

Have good one.

Hi @szuHsing

Inheriting and aggregating information between different fact sheet types or across parent/child relations is one of the standard features of LeanIX Automation Platform. Your use case about data classification is even one of the cases in the official product demo.

If you don’t mind using a LeanIX partner solution, feel free to get in touch with me for further information and a demo.

You could use MS Power Automate automating things you can’t automate within LeanIX itself. I don’t have any job running currently, but we have tested it out to verify it works.

Hi @szuHsing,

There is a Roadmap items in the 12 month plan that should address your requirement and probably many other use cases: https://roadmap.leanix.net/c/178-inventory-configure-calculated-fields.

Fingers crossed :-)

Hi @Thomas Schreiner , thanks for suggestion. We are indeed looking for standard solutions originated from LeanIX without additional coding and extra software support. If you had similar requirements and implement this feature already in LeanIX, will be great to learn from you.
