LInk LeanIX to JIRA assets-cmdb

We are looking for an integration between LeanIX and Jira Assets (CMDB). Discussed this topic in the LeanIX Office hours sessions and they showed me the integration build with ServiceNow. They referred to the community and would be interested in setting this up together. We want to make LeanIX leading for our applications and sync data to Jira Assets CMDB automatically (like in the servicenow setup).

App FS - TIME/6R assessment results comparison for old vs. new results

Greetings...Is there a better way of comparing older/newer assessment results?The initial TIME/6R assessment was completed within EA team for both Functional/Technical Fit Survey Assessments.Now, we are asking actual Application/Business owners to review and update the assessment completed earlier.I can go into each App FS and check Last Updated to figure what has been changed.Looking for a better way in a report or saved search results, to compare older vs. newer values changed.Let me know.Thanks.

Application sub-type Deployment

Dear LeanIX’ers,I would like to get some feedbacks from the community regarding the “best usage” of the sub-type Deployment of an application.We are a large watchmaker group in Switzerland, made from many organizations, and the goal is to modelize the application landscape of the entire group with LeanIX.We are not using the virtual workspaces, so that all the compagnies can see the complete application list already existing in the group.When an application is used by several compagnies, we modelize it as “Parent - Children” Application / Deployment, so that each deployment have it’s onw business owner, business criticality, technical fits, etc… This makes particular sense when the application is running for each company it’s own instance on a virtual server.But when we take cloud applications, I always hesitate to create a Deployment for each company, as it’s the same application, but can have different business owners (by brands), and therefore different levels of criticality, depend

Our organization has experienced significant growth through acquisitions, leading to a diverse IT landscape. We have multiple sites within the same country using different applications for the same business capabilities. To better manage and streamline our IT environment, we need to capture detailed information about these applications. Specifically, we are looking to gather the following details:Application Ownership: We need to identify who is responsible for each application. How to query saved search via odata and powershell

Requesting saved searches via oData and Excel is successful.But for the final goal of converting the saved searches to csv-files I would like to get rid of the middleware (Excel) and do the job by PowerShell.First trap is authentication.I have an username and an api-token, but have no idea how to authenticate by PowerShell.Any idea? How does one access the fact sheet change logs?

Hello! Can I get some guidance on how to use the log data in LeanIX for reporting purposes? At the moment I can only see how to use the factsheet data readily available in the Inventory tab, but nothing on the log details of the fact sheet.

Aggregated Obsolescence and Tracking Server OS on IT Component Fact Sheet

Hi All,Two key risks we would like to use LeanIX to address here in our organisation is out of date software and / or operating systems.  Were early in our LeanIX journey so we have no plans for mass population of IT components yet but instead are focussing on value  add and these two key things are a historical challenge here adding risks to our application portfolio.Were finding the aggregated obsolescence capability in LeanIX a really powerful tool for tracking this software support lifecycles and surfacing it up.  To do this we create an IT component for the application with the software version / vendor lifecycle in it and it all works correctly.For operating systems we have observed there is a dedicated field in the IT component fact sheet for server operating system.  However this value does not seem to be used in calculating aggregated risks and seems to be treated  as a separate element of an IT component and it has no concept of lifecycle with it.Do people use the server oper

Determine information classification value of application based on data security level field of Data object

Hi all. We recently onboarded with LeanIX. Soon enough we realize standard automation features can not support automation between two factsheet types. We have below requirement: custom field on application called Data Security. value includes SC-1 = Internal; SC-2 = Restricted; SC-3 = Highly restricted.  custom field in Data Object called Information classification. Value includes : Public, Restricted, Internal, Highly restricted  multiple data objects are assigned to Application.  Application's data security value will be automated updated based on Information classifications of Data objects. Data security value will be updated based on most restricted information-classification level of data objects. For example, if employee data object is part of application and it is highly restricted, Data Security of application will be filled as Highly restricted.Has anyone encountered similar requirements in LeanIX?  Your experiences sharing is highly valuable and appreciated for us. Have good

I tried to post a question in the reports community and got the error message “you don’t have access to this category”? any ideas? Most frustrating for someone trying to use this product and is new to it.

Custom KPI Value Update Frequency

How long does it take for custom KPIs to update? I’m seeing a discrepancy between when I click “validate” and what my dashboard is showing.When I click the ‘validate’ button after creating my KPI using the JSON editor, it says the KPI value is “264”. Then I click “save” and go back to the list of KPIs and it says the value is “256”. Do these KPIs get calculated once per day and I should just assume it’s a matter of time before it gets updated, or is there something else going on here?

ServiceNow APM module to LeanIX

Currently we have all types of apps classified in ServiceNow APM module and only Business apps type are sync'ed from ServiceNow to LeanIX overnight.We are planning to move out of ServiceNow APM module and bring all apps into LeanIX.What are the types of issues or concerns, I need to take into account, so we have successfully moved out of ServiceNow APM module?- Which are the tables associated to APM module?- What will be the impact to other related tables? (ex.: Mapped Application Services)- What will be upstream/downstream (IT components, etc.) effect on this?- We also have Business Capabilities definied in ServiceNow, would like to use LeanIX Business Capabilities, how this will be impacted?Basically, we do not see ServiceNow and LeanIX as complimentary – they are redundant. Putting 2 systems in place will likely lead to slower outcomes, higher cost, more configuration, additional manual data entry, and a poorer user experience. Thoughts and experiences on this subject please?Thanks,

How to model the relationship of Applications to platforms and IT components? Should the application relationship to IT components (making up the platform) be created if the relationship between the application and the platform is already established?For example, consider that there is an Analytics platform made up by a DataLake (IT component 1) and Machine Learning module (IT component 2). How to export data from LeanIX?

Hi, What are the ways to export data from LeanIX?I don’t see any export button anywhere on the LeanIX page. I have the option to view and edit existing reports but not create new ones. My role is viewer.Also, according to me using an API to fetch data requires an API token but there is no option to generate any API token.Is the export functionality in LeanIX role dependent?Thanks.

General Risk Management

Hello!New to EA and LeanIX. I’m looking for thoughts around performing general risk management (associated with EA) within LeanIX.Risk management typically involves listing specific risks, with description, likelihood, and impact score attributes, and calculates risk scores based off of them.As far as I can tell, LeanIX (even with the Risk and Compliance module) allows us to store aggregated obsolescence specific risk via the lifecycle attribute but it doesn’t provide this general risk management capability.I’ve found a documentation example which seems to use tags to augment fact sheets with additional sunset status/risk, but that’s not quite what I had in mind.
