As far I could find in LeanIX documentation, LeanIX supports searches by fact sheet name, display name, description, tags, and sometimes alias.

It seems that enabling other textual fields to be designated as searchable could provide significant value. Is this being considered as a future capability?

In the meantime, are there any workarounds that could offer similar functionality?

In the field configuration, I believe for both standard fields and fields you have added, there is ability to control this. Are you aware of this? If so, is this not meeting the need? “Show in Filters” allows it to be searchable.

@Alan Elfert, thank you for the suggestion.

I am not sure that these options make the fields searchable. According to documentation “Include in views” makes the field available as a dimension in Views / Reporting and “Show in filters” allows to include the field in the Inventory list filtering. That is not the search I have in mind.

Besides, “Include in views” and “Show in Filters” are disabled for all String fields.

What search are you referring to? The one in the top bar all the time?

Hi @PaulFil,

I can confirm that we do have the ability to include additional text fields in the full-text and/or quick search (documentation here).

Please be aware that this capability only exists when configuring a new/custom text field.  If you wish to include already available text fields in the full-text or quick search, the method will be to delete existing data and recreate the field, as our documentation states.

We also want to be cautious about including too many text fields to be made available via full-text or quick search - our best practice is to not clutter the search and only select the most important items to be called on via full-text or quick search.

Let us know if this is what you are looking for - hope this helps and thanks for the post!

Thank you. I have found this feature. This should work.
