I’m looking forward to this webinar and keen to learn how people are communicating standards, which for me is very important in a post-merger situation. 

One report I like to use to communicate IT Component Standards is an IT Component Matrix with the following settings:  

  • X Axis: Lifecycle (I use our organization’s lifecycle dates, not the provider lifecycle dates - here’s why and a new product roadmap idea)

  • Y Axis: Tech Categories

  • Show empty columns and rows 

  • Show inherited IT Components 

  • Show all children for clusters 

  • View: Resource Classification view 

  • Layout Mode: Detailed  

  • Sort: Legend up 

Choose the Drill-down: Successors setting to see how current standards are being replaced by IT Components in the Plan or Phase in lifecycle stages.

Thanks Stephen. Thats very helpful to provide the steps, and the report is very useful indeed.

I would love to see the IT Components Portal have the ability to show some of this information, for example, IT Component portal that can filter based on the ‘Resource Classification’ of the relationship to the tech chategory. It would allow us to have a simple portal that filters on the classificaiton like Approved or Conditional, and also include it on the card of the IT Component.
