Hi 

In my organization, we master applications in ServiceNow where Architects set up an application & multiple teams (Product, Support etc.) enhance the application with relevant details.

We are working to pivot to LeanIX where Architects master the application in LeanIX, send the application to ServiceNow & other teams carry on enhancing the application.

I am assuming we are not the first one doing such a change. I wish to connect & learn from LeanIX users who have done such a change in the past & if at all this is a good idea!

Please share your experience on the journey & any best practices you recommend.

Hello,

We are taking the stance of keeping LeanIX the source of truth, with all data originating from the LeanIX Application Fact Sheet.  It would certainly be possible to do tailored two-way sync with ServiceNow, but we want to avoid potential conflicts, etc.  We sync app id to correlation_id and use it for our candidate mapping.  We don’t have it 100% set up yet, as I’m having some challenges incorporated tags in the sync, but the basics are working fine.

we are going thru the same journey, connecting Application FS to Business App CI table. We are working through the Metadata and Value etc. 

 

Wondering how you are managing the process around this? eg. Application to Application Services?
