Hello Everyone,

I am quite new on LeanIX and I have some basic questions particularly Technology Architecture.

  • I would like to create a Tehcnology Application/Solutions Buildng Blocks, ABB-SBB catalogue on LeanIX, but there is no ready excel file for that. Where should I start?
  • In addition, I need to create Roadmap report for each and every SBB.
  • Could lifecycle information be enough for IT components, but what about for physical data centres or cloud subscriptions? Should I also create them as IT components with their contract lifetimes?

Hello @yukselisim ,

the way to go about it is to first get your IT-component data into LeanIX. Ideally, you have a CMDB where you can migrate the data from. However, they can also be imported via Excel, see the documentation here.

Once you’ve imported your data, you can then link each item with the Reference Catalog. Please note, that you need the TRC module to sync the lifecycle data from the catalog.

With all your data in your workspace and linked to the catalog, you can then go ahead and create a portal, which is like a catalogue and could provide an overview of all ABB-SBB you are using in your organization.

Hope those hints help to get started.
