How to Configure Conditional Questions in LeanIX Surveys?

Hi LeanIX Community,

We recently started exploring the new Survey functionality and are currently migrating some of our existing surveys.

One challenge we are facing is implementing conditional logic between questions.

For example:

  • Question 1: Yes / No
  • If the answer is Yes, continue with Question 2.
  • If the answer is No, skip directly to Question 20.

We already tried to achieve this using conditional attributes. The logic works as expected on the Fact Sheet itself, where attributes can be shown or hidden based on previous answers. However, we could not get the same behavior to work within the Survey.

Is this kind of branching or skip logic currently supported in LeanIX Surveys?

If so, what would be the recommended way to configure it?

Any guidance, examples, or workarounds would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hello Melanie!

Hope you’re doing well. I am a CSM from the SAP LeanIX side, and I did notice the new survey functionality is lacking conditional attributes. The new survey functionality is still being developed as it’s not going to fully replace the current survey functionality until March of 2027.

One recommendation I have is, submitting your product feedback to the Product Roadmap page so our Product Team understands this gap in the new survey functionality.

Our Product team is always looking for feedback, which in return will help us shape better functionality, better drive use cases, and help deliver value to all our customers.
