Which API do I use to list all my Users that can be added as Subscribers to a FactSheet

Hi All, I’m looking to create basic FactSheet entries from a Project Governance system called Uppwise.This is just a basic integration to LeanIX using a GraphQL client generated using the Netfilx DGS codegen plugin. Having got past some dependency problems, this now works well. I can also connect to the Pathfinder Rest API.However, I’m struggling to work out where I can get a list of my Users that I can use to add as subscribers.I can’t seem to call the MTM service, but I'm not sure if I should be able to. Could someone point me to which API I should call? ThanksAndrew

Multiple sync job error

Hi all, I have 4 integration configurations made for 4 different Servicenow instances. I want all of them to run when the FULL_SYNC_JOB runs every day but I'm seeing that Sync for only one of them runs and others are skipped with the message as "Synchronisation job skipped. A full sync is already running or queued." How to resolve this ?

Handle version history without overloading Application factsheets

Hello everyone,We would like to envision how to handle versioning in LeanIX correctly. There is the Release field in the Application factsheet type, but in my company we have the need to track several versions of one applications because we have parallel versions.Let’s say we have three applications A, B and CWe have for A:V1.0.1 installed at site 1V1.0.6 installed at site 2V2.0.0 installed at site 3For B:V8.0.0 at site 1V9.2.0 at site 3For C:V5.0.1 at site 2At any time, another version of C could ​be instal​​​​led at site 3 and it could be different than the one from site 2 so we have a need to track it also.We could clone three times the Application factsheet for A, two times for B, and change the release field but that seems inefficient. Also if one of the shared field (the description, or the Application Owner, or anything else) change, we’d have to edit every factsheet manually. That is also inefficient. I had thought first to create another factsheet type to represent the Version

Whether and how to model virtual servers for applications

Hi.Any on-premise application (let’s call one here ABC) is typically hosted on one or several physical or virtual servers (let’s have here 2 virtual servers SRV123 and SRV456). These servers have often but not always the same OS (let’s say here Windows Server 2019 for both SRV123 and SRV456) and different purposes with different components (let’s say here SRV123 is the web application server with IIS 10.0 and SRV456 the database server with SQL Server 2019). They also run on different pieces of hardware or a single one (let’s say here that SRV123 and SRV456 run on 2 different Dell PowerEdge R550 Rack Server units).In my example, Application ABC would have relations with the following IT Components in LeanIX:Software: Microsoft Windows Server 2019 + Microsoft IIS 10.0 + Microsoft SQL Server 2019, Hardware: Dell PowerEdge R550 Rack Server.But SRV123 and SRV456 servers actually appear nowhere in this model:Of course, they’re not Applications, They could be IT Components, but none of the s

Modeling Organization for Applications used by everyone?

Does anyone have any advice on how best to model an Organization-Application linkage for Apps that are used by everyone in the organization? I’m thinking I’d want to create a Level 1 Organization (subtype=BU) to represent all employees of the organization generically. If there’s a specific team or region of users where that application has a distinct functional fit that needs to be called out, then we would add those as additional organizations. I think that should give us flexibility to provide insight into different usage perspectives for those shared services, but curious to know what approaches others have taken.

Visualizing Options Assessment

Hello Community,has anyone experience with dealing of options assessment results in LeanIX?Le me explain in more detail:You are dealing with lots of Business Capabilities in LeanIX (amount n) and due to best of breed you have same amount (n) of applications in the portfolio.On the other hand you know about an application supporting more than one business capability - an integrated solution. How to visualize the option that this integrated solution (not implemented only based on capabilities) is providing as it might be the successor for multiple active applications!The successor attribute is too hard wired for this because we are talking about an option and curently there is no initiative planned/release.How would you deal with this requirement in LeanIX (or is LeanIX the wrong tool for something like this)? Best RegardsThomas

Diagram containing Names and Descriptions from Factsheets

I am trying to generate a simple diagram that contains all our business capabilities and the Description for each business capability. I can make a diagram that has the Business Capability Names and relationships but I can’t find out how to add the descriptions, does anyone know how do I do that?

Is anyone a Google shop?  Were you able to use SaaS discovery without AD, but instead using Identity Services, Manage Engine or other such tools?  If there were hurdles, how did you overcome them?

Updating Business Application data from ServiceNow

Hi all, I have a requirement to update fact sheet type- Application data in LeanIX through Servicenow. I have already integrated with ServiceNow through the O-O-B integration available but that is for creating Application records in Servicenow from LeanIX. And since, we can't make another fact sheet mapping to do the opposite too, I was thinking of how to do that in LeanIX. Please let me know how to do it. Also, can Integration API do this ? (Just to remind again, I want to update BA records in LeanIX from Servicenow). Thanks for your help in advance.

Validating fact sheet data entry for email and name using Active Directory

Hello Community 😀Does anyone know how I could possible create a field for a fact sheet that will only allow a validated Active Directory email address and add the name as it appears in Active Directory? Or more specifically  Azure Active Directory?Thank you!

Portal - Add functionality to the "Request application"

Hi We are doing a bit of discovery into the portal now, and have an idea, at this stage, to smooth out the process for end-users needing access to an application. Has anyone used the “Request Application” to anything useful? Currently - it simply points to the documentation for the self-service portal - I have a few ideas to either trigger a request in ServiceNOW, either by prepopulating an email running through the think-automate, or using Power Automate to streamline the process to get access to an application. Has anyone done something similar and would be generous enough to share some insights? BRTore

Newbie question on how to list both applications and components at the same time

Hello,From seeing many views, lists  and reports, it seems to me that out-of-the-box, one can only list either applications or components at the same time, not a mix of both.If true, what would the rationale be on this? I could understand that not all fields or tags can be listed in the same list if different types of objects does not have the same ones, but given that some fields or tags ARE shared by all objects types it seems to make perfect sense to be able to list them in one single list.A bit like having a list called “Fruit basket”, it listing all kinds of fruits you have and then showing shared properties of these kinds. You don’t have to know in advance what fruits you have as all kinds will be listed assuming there is no other filtering. The list can then be exported to Excel for further analysis.This seems way more dynamic compared to having to make a separate list for each fruit type, exporting each list to Excel and then trying to merge lists in Excel.

Using Business Architecture in LeanIX

Is anyone using BPMN in LeanIX to create a multi-level process repository?The challenge of using the BPMN 2.0 stencil in LeanIX poses a few challenges:The BPMN stencil or toolfolder is way too comprehensive. We need a simplified version like in Signavio to ensure that all users model in a consistent manner. The risk is there that users will use incorrect objects from the toolfolder. The type of task i.e. Service Task cannot be changed on the fly to a Manual Task for instance. The toolfolder cannot be restricted per user type - i.e. some users will only model business processes and others will have other use cases. It would be useful to let process modelers have access to a simplified BPMN toolfolder. Drill down diagrams is also a challenge - how do you do this in Free Draw?I guess my question is - should we promote LeanIX as a single EA tool or only in combination with Signavio to accommodate the requirements of Business Architecture?Looking forward to hear from the community.Best, Chr

Integrated Scripting?

Hello,Not being an admin in LeanIX Enterprise Architecture, but a kind of power user.Have scripting support been discussed? Like integrated support for multi-conditional scripting that allows changes and updates of content in bulk. Potentially doing everything that a person with proper permissions (and sense...) could do manually. I could be proven wrong, but I have a feeling that the current API support is not what I look for. It seems impractical to potentially have to manually change a large number of objects. Careful scripting could at its best help align old content with a given standard, either directly or indirectly, like by having a conditional script encourage owners to do the updates/changes in their end.Full access to the object model used could - with multiple conditions - also help getting very detailed analysis on content, quality and integrity.Sorry if posting in wrong user group, I do not understand why there are so many different user groups on this forum as it would s

No flows shown in Data Flow Diagrams with filters applied

Hi,I have created a data flow diagram with all applications in the enterprise and want to filter it by user groups. That works fine except that the interfaces (or data flows) disappear as soon as a filter is applied, even if both applications have the same user groups. Has anybody observed this behaviour  ? Best regardsTill R

Data Flow Diagrams

Is there anyone doing Data Flow maps? If so, can you please help me how to get started? I’d like to do simple data flow connecting multiple applications with arrows indicating the data that flow between them, in which direction etc. I tried to read the Data Flow article but it is not very helpful as it simply just assumes that you already have all the relationships maintained and only focuses on how to visualize it. What I am looking for is how to really start from scratch - e.g. imagine I have 2 fresh application fact sheets and I want to add them to Data Flow diagram, then draw an arrow between them and on the arrow then maintain the ‘data flow attributes’ - direction, data content, maybe the method/protocol etc. I did not find easy way how to do it directly in the diagram. Any input / guidance welcome. BTW it is also unclear to me what is the real difference between Free Draw and Data Flow diagram editor - they seem to look exactly the same. Again, the official articles are not very
