Is anyone tinkering with the MCP server? It seems to be missing fairly basic functionality like retrieving all the fact sheets of a given type. It has an action to get all applications, or to search for fact sheets of a given type, but the search doesn’t support a wildcard, so there appears to be no way to get a list of fact sheets of a given type. Has anyone run into this?Thanks -Dan

Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well.I'd like to ask for your guidance on two specific use cases in LeanIX:Cost Visualization: Is it possible to generate pie charts or bar graphs that show the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of applications? We only find sums of quantity, but not much configuration. And we'd like to group by specific tags for example. Is it possible? We've already have the TCO Extention  Version Management: What's the best practice for seeing evolutionary improvements in an application while maintaining its history? My goal is to track the evolution without having to create multiple new Fact Sheets for each version, thus avoiding unnecessary duplicates in the inventory.Thank you very much in advance for your recommendations!

Hello Everyone, I am quite new on LeanIX and I have some basic questions particularly Technology Architecture. I would like to create a Tehcnology Application/Solutions Buildng Blocks, ABB-SBB catalogue on LeanIX, but there is no ready excel file for that. Where should I start?In addition, I need to create Roadmap report for each and every SBB.Could lifecycle information be enough for IT components, but what about for physical data centres or cloud subscriptions? Should I also create them as IT components with their contract lifetimes?

(I hope the following thoughts narrow down a bit what I mean.)I understood, that you should start with Business Capabilities - which kind of makes sense. In the second step, you connect the application landscape to these business capabilities. Now to the…. First question: I read, that todays approach in EA is more agile (project by project). Means for me, you shouldn`t create that monster map, that shows “all” the dependencies and connections between business and IT. Is that correct?So have you generated your first content by joining a first project (e.g. new application XY) and then iteratively grew your EA by continuing that “process” (project by project by project)? Hello everyone, how are you?!I saw in this post Connecting GraphiQL to PowerBI that it was possible to retrieve inventory information through code in Power Query. I can retrieve some fields, as in the example, but when I try to retrieve custom fields, the code returns errors.Expression.Error: The 'data' field of the record was not found.Details:errors=[List]Has anyone else experienced this? How can I fix it?

We track initiatives in LeanIX and currently configure quality seals to expire after three months of inactivity, aligning with our quarterly project reviews. This approach works well for active projects, but we’ve noticed that completed initiatives also lose their quality seals over time. We want to preserve the history of these projects without requiring users to manually maintain seals on inactive or completed initiatives.I’m interested in hearing how other companies handle this situation. Are there best practices for maintaining historical quality seals on completed projects while minimizing unnecessary user intervention?

We want to keep data in a reference system and in LeanIX in synch.  The administrators of the reference system are proficient in powershell, and the easiest path is a powershell script that uses the LeanIX APIs. Does anyone have a powershell script that uses the LeanIX APIs that we could use as a reference model?

Hi All, We have a couple of challenges, one of them being that an interface can be both a provider as wel as a consumer at the same time. this is how that works:An application provides a dataset through an interface, this is consumed by another application. That data set is edited in the second application and provided back to application one who then consumes it. At certain points in time that interface also communicates the dataset directly to another interface.Any advice on how to model that would be greatly appreciated. My preferred solution would be to change the multiplicity from Manty to one to Many to Many relationships on provider as well as Consumer interfaces by the way.

My understanding is that Business Capabilities represent the “What” an organization needs to achieve its strategic goals—essentially, the abilities required. Processes, on the other hand, describe the “How” and provide a concrete sequence of activities to implement these capabilities.I’m uncertain about where and how Capabilities can be effectively utilized within a Signavio process model. If a process explains how a Capability is carried out, what added value does integrating the Capability into the process model bring? Hi everyone,We recently evaluated the LeanIX Self-Built Software Discovery, specifically the Microservice Discovery feature, for both our backend microservices and frontend applications (e.g., Android app).During this evaluation, we observed that the leanix.yaml file in each repository automatically generates Application factsheets with the subtype Microservice in LeanIX. However, it appears there is no way to configure this to create factsheets of type "IT Component", which we currently use in our metamodel. The only changes that can be made are to the subtype, which can be set to deployment, microservice or business solution.Our current modeling approach:We’ve defined in our metamodel that software components, organized hierarchically within a solution, should be represented as IT

With recently LeanIX joining forces with SAP, lot of positive changes in terms of LeanIX inventory enriched with lot of SAP specific Factsheets! An awesome & lovely addition indeed! 😍And along with these ready-to-use Factsheets from LeanIX Reference Catalog, I am currently working on preparing modelling and diagramming for applications built on SAP BTP as an extension to SAP S/4HANA Core system.I first looked at this page for official guidance from LeanIX: https://docs-eam.leanix.net/docs/sap#model-sap-btp. Hi,does anybody have an idea, why LEANIX automations are limited to (as the documentation reads) “Single-select fields and unused fields”. This leads to a lot of fields not showing up in the configuration dialog and it seems you cannot automate a field based on its “text” value. You cannot compare to it.Why is that and what are “unused fields”?Greets Olaf 

Moin,just like to say that the recent change of hiding the export option in the three-point menue of the inventory header is a ...not so good… idea , especially because this option constantly gets visibly blocked when the “eye” option below, toggling the field list to be shown”,is enabled, which happens quite frequently prior to using the export option.Leads to simply blocking sight to the export option. Does not feel good.Why not simply add a button left off …? Only my opinion.
