Hi Community FellowsWe are new to LeanIX, I am exploring if anyone has experience in B2B integration flow ( IFDs) having trading partner ( external customer) mapped in LeanIX. A2A integration where in sender and receivers are applications, it appears straightforward with interface factsheet. But any guidance on B2B would be helpful. RegardsKalpesh
Hello, I’m fairly new to using LeanIx tool for EA practice, within our organisation we have determined a few business products used by consumers and these products are supported by IT Components. The confusion we have is how do we link the business product to IT components without creating any applications. I understand we can change the out of the box meta model definition, just wanted to see if anyone has tried this approach before and if yes what implications does it have?
Hello dear LeanIX Community, i am currently struggling with understanding the concept of the fields Provider Application and Consumer Applications on the Interface Fact Sheet. As I understand it, it has nothing to do with the direction of the data flow. But how can I identify which application is the provider and which one is the consumer of the interface? And also when should I use Logical Interface and when API as the subtype of the Fact Sheet?Thank you very much.
I’ve been trying to pull all application Factsheets from the /factsheet API, specifying criteria in the body such as the “type” and a few select “fields” I want, and setting “false” values on things like tags and subscriptions. However, when running the request, I still get all factsheets regardless of type, all fields, all tags, all subscriptions etc. I must be doing something wrong, but I am not sure what. Any ideas or any examples how I can use the GraphQL API to do this (I’m unfamiliar with GraphQL so I’ve been sticking to REST)?Thanks in advance!
Dear Member, I would like to know if we can export the LeanIx presentation in powerpoint or any other format. Thanks,Awadhesh
Hello all,I found that in the table view the line breaks in text fields are ignored…Is there a possibility to show the line breaks als in the table view?
Hello, I am relatively new to Bosch and I will be creating an SOP document for a new tool we are developing for use within MA-SNA. I am wondering if there is any kind of LEAN template or rubric that will enable me to create this template in a “Bosch” way. Thanks in advance!
Hallo, was muss man tun, wenn die Meldung kommt “Qualitätssiegel gebrochen” wo finde ich die Stelle, an der ich etwas anpassen muss?
FindIT lists LeanIX as it's replacement but I cannot find a simple way to simply search servers and those associated
Hi,is there anyone with a good example of the InboundRelation-Processor from the Integration api. In the documenation and the examples i only could find ways to create relations through external ids.Thank you for help, best Daniel
How does one collapse interfaces after clicking the arrow to expand them? I’ve been searching for hours and this seems like something very simple to achieve but I cannot find it. Once you expand an Interface from a data flow diagram, there doesn’t appear to be a way to revert it back to the “unexpanded” view you previously had.
Hi everyone,After configuring 4 integrations to 4 different servicenow instances, I am seeing that only one of them is run daily by the Full_sync_job and the other 3 are skipped. Can this be resolved so that all of the 4 integration sync run everyday. Moreover, if that is possible then is it possible to choose the order of running the sync by which I mean that I can choose which sync should run first and then which one should run and so on so that all of them follow an order of running.
Hi everyone, This is a feature request. When adding costs to an IT component linked to an application, it is listed in the local currency which is set in the general settings. At the moment, I’m performing a point-in-time conversion for contracts in USD, GPB etc to my local currency which over time will become inaccurate. If possible I’d like to enter the cost of the IT component in the currency the contract is paid in. LeanIX knows about different currencies from the general settings, so if I can enter that value, that would be superb. In the costings reports, they would convert those costings to the local currency so I know what each provider is costing me, in my local currency. What does everyone else think? Would this be a useful feature?
Hi Everyone!Happy Monday, and hope everyone is doing well.I know there are many segments within LeanIX that have layers of functionality and value utilization, which are dependent on use cases and stakeholders that are leveraging the platform.I would love to know if you have a favorite or a set of favorite functionality that you find extremely helpful within the platform and how it has contributed to your success within LeanIX.Are diagrams being leveraged and if so, which part of your technology infrastructure is being mapped out by visuals? Are there selective fact sheet types (standard or custom) that have been of focus for capturing data elements this year? Which type of automations have you implemented that has delivered greater efficiency (could be APIs or out of the box automations within the admin function)? Are their certain types of reports (i.e., landscape, matrix, portfolio and roadmap reports) that have signified importance in resonating the needed information to make effe
Hi all, I have 4 integration configurations made for 4 different Servicenow instances. I want all of them to run when the FULL_SYNC_JOB runs every day but I'm seeing that Sync for only one of them runs and others are skipped with the message as "Synchronisation job skipped. A full sync is already running or queued." How to resolve this ?
Hi all, I have a requirement to update fact sheet type- Application data in LeanIX through Servicenow. I have already integrated with ServiceNow through the O-O-B integration available but that is for creating Application records in Servicenow from LeanIX. And since, we can't make another fact sheet mapping to do the opposite too, I was thinking of how to do that in LeanIX. Please let me know how to do it. Also, can Integration API do this ? (Just to remind again, I want to update BA records in LeanIX from Servicenow). Thanks for your help in advance.
Hi Team,Has anyone here seen a central exit management portal that links to LEANIX/CMDB thus helping in user access revocation controls?
Hello Community 😀Does anyone know how I could possible create a field for a fact sheet that will only allow a validated Active Directory email address and add the name as it appears in Active Directory? Or more specifically Azure Active Directory?Thank you!
Hello, We want to start using project demand in LeanIX using a project value proposition that we intend to create. The necessary fields for this record have already been identified, but we are encountering difficulties regarding the process. Have you already implemented a project request use case in LeanIX? If yes, could you share it with us? I am available for further information. Best regards, Sokhna.
Hello everyone,It's been 7 months since we launched our LeanIX Digital Community! We now have more than 1,000 community members and we're still growing! We thought it's time to take a closer look at all the categories and incorporate the feedback you've already provided. We have moved away from use case centric categories to better relate your questions and the knowledge you share to the LeanIX product areas. As a result, we are introducing two new top-level categories, EAM Best Practices and EA Leadership. While the former is focused on the aforementioned product areas, the latter is all about successfully establishing an EA discipline. We're in the process of curating all the posts, questions, and answers and moving them into the categories where they best fit. This will take some time, but we're on it.EAM Best Practices Meta Model Dashboard & KPIs Inventory Reports Diagrams Discovery & Reference Catalogs Collaboration & Automation Integrations & APIs EA Lea
A lot of us are coffee lovers, right? At LeanIX, we do not only drink espresso, cappuccino, or the classic cafe crema. We also love a Club Mate boost, and some of us prefer tea...not only those of us based out of our London Office. What’s your daily booster? Share it with us!
In a world where we're constantly connected but often feel disconnected, taking the time to sit down and have a conversation over a warm cup of coffee (or tea, if that's more your thing) can be a great way to connect with others and build meaningful relationships. Whether you're here to catch up with old friends and colleagues, meet new people, or just enjoy some good conversation, we're excited to have you here. So sit back, relax, and let's chat over a virtual cup of Java!
HiWill you close the old community/forum and include the support forms into the new community? The ticketing system in the old forum makes this new community somewhat redundant for me. Previously, if I encountered an issue and couldn't find a solution in the forum, I would open a ticket. Now, I have to search in two places: the community and the forum. It's possible that I may not fully understand the concept behind this ... RegardsHendrik
Hi all,we integrated different sources into the central search capability of the Community. The idea is that you don’t have to search for answers and content on different places, but get answers directly on a single go-to platform. The search lists results from the following sources:The Community itself LeanIX Documentation, clustered by product (SMP, EAM, VSM, and Shared Services) LeanIX Academy What is your feedback, does that capability help you to find answers faster? What are you usually searching for that you do not discuss with your LeanIX contacts (Customer Success Manager, Support, ...)?
