Hi LeanIX Community,I'm trying to implement a cost allocation model using custom fields and calculations, but I’ve run into an issue. Scenario:I’ve created a custom field (Application Cost) on the Application Fact Sheet (type: Double, displayed as Cost), and I also have a field (Number of Users) on the Application–Organization relation. We need to address four key scenarios within the Application Fact Sheet:Versions Instances Environments ModulesWhat would be the best practice to map these scenarios?I am considering the use of Application Subtypes — namely Business Application, Deployment, and Microservices (Application Modeling Guidelines | SAP Help Portal) — to represent these scenarios.Please confirm the following: If I utilize these subtypes, would they count towards the total number of applications under our current licensing model, especially if they are not linked to Business Capabilities? Hello!In order to integrate multiple elements between LeanIX and Signavio, we have configured multiple Dictionary Category Mappings in the config settings. Aside from the ‘basic’ SAP Signavio processes to LeanIX, we also have:LeanIX applications to Signavio dictionary Signavio process to LeanIX application relation SAP LeanIX Organisation to Signavio dictionary SAP LeanIX Business Capability to Signavio dictionary Signavio process to LeanIX Business Capability relationCurrently we sync them manually as needed but would like to automate this. How can we schedule the different mappings synchronisation, in the right order, so that they don’t result in conflict or undesired behaviours and so that they run automatically in the selected sequential order?Example: if I archive an app in LeanIX that is linked to a Signavio process, I want to sync apps to Signavio dictionary first, because that removes the app (if using overwrite or conservative sync). Our organization has completed the first round of functional and technical surveys in order to calculate TIME.  Before we do our second round, we would like to vet our survey questions.  For those doing TIME, did you use the TIME survey template in LeanIX?  If not, how did you determine which questions to ask to gather functional and technical fit?  Did you create your own survey questions or did you work with a professional company to determine the survey questions? What other things did you do to gain confidence in the questions and that you were getting true functional and technical fit responses? Thank you for your help! 

I am creating a survey and based on the response of the survey i have added a calculated field that calculates a score. Based on the score, the code categorizes the score into three levels of High, Medium and Low. I want to store that categorization in an Application Fact Sheet. I added an option field which can take these three values. How can I automatically update this option field from the survey? Is it possible to do so? 

Hello everyone. A multinational company has sold one of its factories, which for a while will be using the multinational's applications, provided as a service with exclusive data from the now external factory. Does anyone know if, in this case, the Business Owner can be a person from the new external company?

Is there anyone doing Data Flow maps? If so, can you please help me how to get started? I’d like to do simple data flow connecting multiple applications with arrows indicating the data that flow between them, in which direction etc. I tried to read the Data Flow article but it is not very helpful as it simply just assumes that you already have all the relationships maintained and only focuses on how to visualize it. What I am looking for is how to really start from scratch - e.g. imagine I have 2 fresh application fact sheets and I want to add them to Data Flow diagram, then draw an arrow between them and on the arrow then maintain the ‘data flow attributes’ - direction, data content, maybe the method/protocol etc. I did not find easy way how to do it directly in the diagram. Any input / guidance welcome. BTW it is also unclear to me what is the real difference between Free Draw and Data Flow diagram editor - they seem to look exactly the same. What is the best way to represent the data flow with external companies. Let say I have an application A and that application gets its data from a company C. So there exists an interface between C and A. However since C is a company (with that company having an application for sending data) outside of our scope, it should not be represented as an application in LeanIX, however this information is quite interesting to know. So what would be the best way to represent such an scenario on LeanIX?

Hello à la commu! Je cherche un retour d’experience d’un utilisateur LeanIX sur le reporting des applications liées aux organisations.Je vous donne le contexte. Je travaille pour Securitas, une multinationale composée de plusieurs filiales opérant dans des pays.On va avoir avoir par exemple, une FilialeX qui opère en France, Espagne et Allemagne et une FilialeY qui opère en France, Espagne et UK. Ensuite on va avoir des applications propres à chaque filiale et des applications partagées, c’est à dire utilisée par les 2 filiales. Nous sommes en train d’évaluer 2 options pour effectuer ce reporting.Option 1: Dupliquer tous les pays, c’est à dire qu’il y aura par exemple 2 fois la France (FillialeX / France et FillaleY / France). C’est la solution qui nous parait la meilleur en termes de reporting mais “peu propre” pour les utilsateurs (Redondance de la France, et que se passe-t-il si on intègre une 3e filiale, puis une 4e… on peut retrouver 4 fois la France par exemple?) Option 2: Les pa

Hi All, We are facing the following issue for our application fact sheet. We have few tags as mandatory to approve the fact sheet but these are not part of the % completion calculation (nor can be added as per the out of the box settings) As a result, a user can see 100% completion and still be blocked to approve the fact sheet. Is someone else facing this issue? Many thanks!

Hello LeanIX Community,Hope you all are doing good.My organization has just started its LeanIX journey, and being a mid size firm, we have a small team of two people on administration side. We have been able to make good progress on factsheets.However, when it comes to architecture diagrams, we have been making slow progress. Our instance shows integration with Lucidchart and it shows up on the screen, when we go for new diagrams. My question is, is there a way to access LeanIX factsheets from Lucidchart.Like, if I am creating an application context diagram in Lucidchart, can I pull the applications from LeanIX factsheets. I would like our architects to use the repository instead of having it free-for-all, like everyone giving their own name to the Applications like Salesforce, Sales Force, Salesforce Platform etc. This is what has happened in the past.

Challenge we face is when we need to import integration with our partners/customers systems as the partner/customer apps are not part of our inventory.What are the best practices/approaches to model such integrations in LeanIX. Dear all,I’m currently facing the issue, that we have applications which are end of life, but still in use. Its mainly the support which is out of date, but the application still works. We are currently not planning to use a new release as well, so there is no successor on that.In fact, the date at “end of life” affects my cost reportings. I added the costs to the corresponding IT Component and included the Provider, but as the Application is eol it dosen’t show up. But I still have costs on that. :(Is there any option to reflect such cases? I would love to add a new Lifecycle phase (“extended usage”) but there is no option to add such.Or did I miss something here? Any suggestions how to deal with this issue? ThanksChristina

We are seeking a solution to establish a many-to-many relationship between hardware and software subtypes within our IT Components framework. This relationship will enable us to link multiple hardware items to multiple software applications, ensuring comprehensive visibility and management of our IT assets.Goal:Our objective is to create a system where, for any given software fact sheet, we can view all associated hardware that utilizes that software. Conversely, we want to be able to access any hardware fact sheet and see all the software applications installed or used on that hardware.Example:Imagine we have a software application called "Antivirus Pro" and several hardware items like "Server A", "Laptop B", and "Desktop C". By establishing a many-to-many relationship, the fact sheet for "Antivirus Pro" will list "Server A", "Laptop B", and "Desktop C" as hardware utilizing this software. Hi.Any on-premise application (let’s call one here ABC) is typically hosted on one or several physical or virtual servers (let’s have here 2 virtual servers SRV123 and SRV456). These servers have often but not always the same OS (let’s say here Windows Server 2019 for both SRV123 and SRV456) and different purposes with different components (let’s say here SRV123 is the web application server with IIS 10.0 and SRV456 the database server with SQL Server 2019). They also run on different pieces of hardware or a single one (let’s say here that SRV123 and SRV456 run on 2 different Dell PowerEdge R550 Rack Server units).In my example, Application ABC would have relations with the following IT Components in LeanIX:Software: Microsoft Windows Server 2019 + Microsoft IIS 10.0 + Microsoft SQL Server 2019, Hardware: Dell PowerEdge R550 Rack Server.But SRV123 and SRV456 servers actually appear nowhere in this model:Of course, they’re not Applications, They could be IT Components, but none of the s

I have my key applications listed in the inventory. I also created a System Context Diagram that shows how data flows between these applications (on paper). Now, I want to create a Data Flow Diagram in LeanIX and expected that the relationships from the diagram would also appear automatically in the inventory. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. (I selected both the applications in the Diagram and also the correct relation between them)Similarly, if I add relationships in the inventory, they don’t automatically show up in the Data Flow Diagram either.So, I’m wondering—how can I make these two things work together? How can I sync or connect the relationships between the inventory and the Data Flow Diagram in LeanIX?

We still have a Lotus Notes footprint within our IT landscape.   Does anyone have any lessons learned, experiences, recommendations to share on how to best track Lotus Notes/Databases within LeanIX.   I suppose we could leverage the application fact sheets, tags, etc., but wanted to check with the community first….
