pathfinder 403 error

Can someone point me to the documentation where authorization is controlled creating factsheets via the pathfinder API.  I am getting the following response. { "status": "ERROR", "type": "PFBusinessLogicException", "errorMessage": "Only system users may create Fact Sheets excluded from the quota.", "errors": [ { "value": "error", "messages": [ "Only system users may create Fact Sheets excluded from the quota." ] } ]}

General Risk Management

Hello!New to EA and LeanIX. I’m looking for thoughts around performing general risk management (associated with EA) within LeanIX.Risk management typically involves listing specific risks, with description, likelihood, and impact score attributes, and calculates risk scores based off of them.As far as I can tell, LeanIX (even with the Risk and Compliance module) allows us to store aggregated obsolescence specific risk via the lifecycle attribute but it doesn’t provide this general risk management capability.I’ve found a documentation example which seems to use tags to augment fact sheets with additional sunset status/risk, but that’s not quite what I had in mind. Creating "Product-Specific" views

Hello everyone -I’m new to LeanIX community and I did search to see if there was a similar question asked and didn’t find anything. Let me give some context before I ask the question: I am a business architect in a health insurance company that sells different types of health insurance “Products’. I’m documenting value streams, using Business Context fact sheets, across the organization and then linking Applications, which have their dependencies on the IT components. There are certain value streams that are either specific to a “Product” or multiple Products. Similarly there could be Applications that would be used for a specific Product. I need to create “Product-Specific” views in LeanIX. For example, I need to answer following questions:Which Applications support Product A? Give me a view of Product B value streams and the related Applications and IT Components? Here are my questions:How can I best associate specific Products against value streams and applications? Bonjour à la communauté francophone de Leanix, shure french but sorry very bad n french write textA la MGEN (Mutuelle de l’Education Nationale) nous avons fait le choix de Leanix depuis Janvier 2022.Nous utilisons Leanix dans le mode Run et Build des projets et nous souhaiterions connaitre vos impressions concernant l’utilisation des diagrammes. Notre ambition est de faire maintenir à jour les diagrammes construites dans le mode Run par es référants des projets en mode RUN car un diagramme non maintenu à jour ne sert strictement à rien. Nous constatons des limitations dans l’interface actuell de Leanix par rapport à besoin :  comment par exemple pour un “béotien” d’une équipe projet retrouver facilement les diagrammes de son périmètre ou d’un périmètre connexe. Avec le niveau de fonctionnalité de l’interface actuel, nous avons rencontré des difficulté et en retour très mitigé des utilisateur malgré une règle de nommage, catégorie de diagramme, mot clef ans le libelle de nommage des dia

Are you categorizing your business applications?

Are you applying “TAG’s” such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), HCM (Human Capital Management), WFM (Workforce Management), RMS (Recruitment) Payment or similar on Application Factsheets to be able to easily search/report on the categories? What categories are you using?With the Reference catalogue introduced, there is the “Product Category” filed. Have you used it to create any reports? My current view is there are some overlaps with this two concepts and would prefer to align with the later for consistency but also to be able to apply this for none SaaS discovered applications.I guess this Use Case gets more relevant if you have hundreds or thousand of applications. What’s your reflection?

Hi Team,I am populating Factsheet Type = User Group with Organization Data and the “Alias” field has details of an organization unit.How can I reference the “Alias” field in factsheet type = User Group in another factsheet type “Application” (field = Business unit) Does LEANIX allow cross factsheet type reference?  Purpose - Identify which applications belong to which business unit.

TIME and IT Components

I am running into a scenario where we would like to use TIME with IT Components, along with our Applications. I am thinking of a scenario where we might have several components in a Tech Category, and we want to Technology Rationalize down to a reasonable number.  Using the TIME classifications would be a big help there to help show teams what they should be using moving forward as we work to decommission the others. Any thoughts/ideas on this would be appreciated.

User roles - aggregated permissions

Hi,We want to give specific permissions to users like to be able to see finantial data or to export a factsheet type but we want to minimize manegement effort.According to the documentation, a user always need to have a standard role but custom roles takes precedence and their permissions are aggregated. So, if a user have Member role and custom roles A and B, I assume he will have the permissions from custom role A and B aggregated and nothing from Member.If so, and in order to have all combinations of roles, what would be the best approach?-Option 1 (use only one of the following)Custom role A - copied from Member and see finantial dataCustom role B - copied from Member and export factsheetsCustome role C - copied from Member and see finantial data and export factsheetsor-Option 2 (use any aggregation of A plus the others ex. How handle feature applications in relation til licens

As a large public organisation we have several innitiativ & tenders for changeing the Application & IT-map.If we are working i 10 diffrent tenders with about 30 diffrerent suppliers and their applicationens. How do we handle the LeanIX Applications licens model, as we dont what to pay for Applications that are not in production.One way is just to keep those possible applications in Initiativ-factsheet and build relations from there.

How is it best to report API and library "opportunities"?

@Kostas-LeanIX, I have always been unclear how best to report “opportunities” with the APIs, libraries, etc. That is, when I see weird behaviors, things that don’t work like I would expect/want, I am not sure how best to communicate those back to LeanIX. They often seem too low-level for the roadmap while also not obviously bugs. For example, I have place in my code where I have comments like “LeanIX doesn't like seeing a facet for the type when we have fixedFactSheetType defined” and “LeanIX auto-adds a quality seal facet if there is none, so force there to not be one when the user has removed it” to explain why I have weird little bits of code I used to work around odd behaviors.Is the best course of action now to post something to this new SAP LeanIX Developers community group, to DM you, to reach out to my CSM, or something else?

Business Capabilities and Business Processes

Hello everyone,My current understanding is that behind most business capabilites there is a process that describes how this capability is achieved operationally. This process is modeled in SAP Signavio according to BPMN 2.0, for example.However, my understanding is also that certain capabilities can be used or activated within a process in order to support a process. Therefore, I have the following questions: Is it correct that business capabilities are used within a process to realize a higher-level capability? How can this relationship between capabilities and processes be represented in Signavio? So how do I illustrate in my BPMN, that the process describes “how” a certain capability is delivered? And how do I show other capabilities that are required for this process?Thank you very much for your support!

Modeling B2B integration

Hi Community FellowsWe are new to LeanIX, I am exploring if anyone has experience in B2B integration flow ( IFDs) having trading partner ( external customer) mapped in LeanIX. A2A integration  where in sender and receivers are applications, it appears straightforward with interface factsheet. Changing Metamodel to link Business Products to IT Components

Hello,   I’m fairly new to using LeanIx tool for EA practice, within our organisation we have determined a few business products used by consumers and these products are supported by IT Components. The confusion we have is how do we link the business product to IT components without creating any applications. I understand we can change the out of the box meta model definition, just wanted to see if anyone has tried this approach before and if yes what implications does it have?
