Hi Community FellowsWe are new to LeanIX, I am exploring if anyone has experience in B2B integration flow ( IFDs) having trading partner ( external customer) mapped in LeanIX. A2A integration  where in sender and receivers are applications, it appears straightforward with interface factsheet. Hello,   I’m fairly new to using LeanIx tool for EA practice, within our organisation we have determined a few business products used by consumers and these products are supported by IT Components. The confusion we have is how do we link the business product to IT components without creating any applications. I understand we can change the out of the box meta model definition, just wanted to see if anyone has tried this approach before and if yes what implications does it have?

I would like to find an applications that have a certain “pIT ICTO ID”. But searching for applications with a Full Text search = “ICTO-20878”  does not yield the right search results. Is it possible to search for a specific text instead of full text search?

Is there an easy way to get a list of applications in my portfolio that are/are not linked to the SaaS catalog?

As a bit of a follow up to this topic: How to include Application displayName in "Request Now" Action Button of Application Portal | Community (leanix.net) I am wondering if it is possible to redirect the “Request Now” button in the Portal to open a form for filling out a new fact sheet. I have just created a Data Quality Governance process with tagging and To-Dos for making sure applications are entered with good data quality, and having the portal as an entry point for new manual application requests to take advantage of this would be great.

Is there a way to automate the role of the user if the user has been added as a subscriber.Ex: X is a viewer and X has been added as a service manager/ service owner. Can we automate to change the role of X from viewer to member?

Hi, We have all app interfaces in Leanix but I was wandering: Did anyone also model/describe their ETL data interfaces in Leanix? Do you create interface factsheets for them too? How do you do this then? Are there best practices?Thanks in advance for the feedback!Tim

Hello dear LeanIX Community, i am currently struggling with understanding the concept of the fields Provider Application and Consumer Applications on the Interface Fact Sheet. As I understand it, it has nothing to do with the direction of the data flow. But how can I identify which application is the provider and which one is the consumer of the interface?And also when should I use Logical Interface and when API as the subtype of the Fact Sheet?Thank you very much.

We are relatively new to LeanIX and have just completed an initial phase with a small selection of applications.  User Groups have proven to be a real challenge and we are considering if the new Organisation and sub types help us address this.We have grown via acquisition so have a very diverse IT landscape with multiple sites in the same country using different applications for the same business capability.  This is the detail we want to capture.  Therefore User Group has been set as physical locations (addresses) which represent sites.  We have then put in a 4 tier hierarchy to help aggregate that data into meaningful summaries.  The challenges we still face are:Who is using the application versus where it is supporting?  Where we have finance shared services, they are the user of an application for say accounts receivable but the data belongs to a site.  Finance Shared Services being the User Group is a given, but do people also map the site, or just accept tha

Hello,To organise our digital products, we are using User Groups.We defined several sub-types :- Jobs / user Roles - Organisation (domain branch)- Group of products (teams under Organisation) In a table view of the "Digital Product" inventory, I would like to have 2 separate columns : one with the Organisation, and one with the Group of Products. Currently, I didn't find how to do it but only have column "User Groups" with all subtypes mixted. Is there a possibilty to have the same functionality as for the subscribers : to select which sub-type in a separate column?  Otherwise, sould I modify the meta-model to add new filed : one for the organization, one for group of product(but always linked to the user groups) ? Thanks for your help Gauthier

So, for example, you could say that:SAP CRM automates Customer Management for USSalesforce automates Customer Management for UKWhen creating a Business Capabilities search in the inventory (Both organizations use the same BC Map), the result shows both applications supporting the same Capability:BC                                             ApplicationsCustomer Management            SAP CRM;SalesforceIs there a way to specify in the search criteria to show Applications to Business Capability relations valid for one Organization only…. I created some sample KPIs, that are based on inventory filters. The results are correct but all of them show 0% in the dashboard. Any idea how to fix this?

Hi,I use integration API and processor to synchronize external systems with LeanIX, especially the inboundFactSheet processor type. The default behavior of this processor is to identify if the factsheet already exist (usage of the externalId) and update it or create it if it doesn’t exist.But I don’t know if it’s possible to update it only and not to create it if it doesn’t exist?Thanks for your help.Olivier C.

Hello everyone,There is a hypothetical scenario that I would feel safe knowing the solution to.I am linking some Applications with ServiceNow, but I am using a filter in the integration so it only links the applications I want to.Let’s say that some applications move to another sub-company in the workspace.With conservative sync being mandatory since the target is ServiceNow and an overwrite would delete stuff there.Said sub-company will now have its own ServiceNow instance, so I want to move the applications to their instance, but if I break the initial link from the filter then the Applications inside ServiceNow won’t be deleted.While at the same time for other reasons ServiceNow id is mandatory to be kept.So If I create new fact sheets (clones or import an export without the old IDs) I will lose the ServiceNow id.Question is how can I move some Applications links from a ServiceNow instance to another, while d

I Am doing a S4 HANA transformation. i am syncing a application with business capability business context successors etc to SAP signavio. everything is syncing till i execute a transformation. AFter that everything syncs but business context is removed. LeanIX is the source in integration. For business context - they were created in signavio and pushed to LeanIX. 

I’ve been trying to pull all application Factsheets from the /factsheet API, specifying criteria in the body such as the “type” and a few select “fields” I want, and setting “false” values on things like tags and subscriptions. However, when running the request, I still get all factsheets regardless of type, all fields, all tags, all subscriptions etc. I must be doing something wrong, but I am not sure what. Any ideas or any examples how I can use the GraphQL API to do this (I’m unfamiliar with GraphQL so I’ve been sticking to REST)?Thanks in advance!

Hi Everyone,We are just adopting LeanIX now and I’m trying to import TBM Tech categories and getting errors that we exceeded hierarchy quota.  I tried to add a few fact sheets like “customer care” under Business / Customer Service, and then tried to link it, but we get errors like this:   Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong? 

A deceivingly simple question: how do you decide whether something is an app or something else?  Can platforms be apps? Can APIs be apps? Web front-ends? Physical infrastructure (networking equipment with network management software on them?) Any thoughts welcome!

Just like I wrote in the title, I can not remove any IT components added to "Requires”, even the ones I added myself. I checked with my colleague and he has this read button saying “Delete entry”, for me this button does not appear. Does anyone know how can I fix this issue?

We would like to “freeze” the entire LeanIX workspace for maintenance. Only three selected people having user role “Admin” should be allowed to edit within the workspace. All people having ‘Member’ user role should only be allowed to view (just as people having ‘Viewer’ user role’). Hopefully there’s an easier way of doing this than to manually start changing the ‘Member’ permissions for each and every LeanIX object (application, IT component, etc.) in our workspace? Any thoughts would be welcome. Thanks.
